Microsoft Windows XP Embedded Operating System

Windows Thin Clients based on Microsoft Windows XPe offer robust thin client connectivity to Windows applications, web based applications, legacy hosts and a variety of applications. CLI Windows XPe based thin clients include a IE6 or IE7 browser with Java and plug-in compatibility, COM objects, PDF viewer, ActiveX and wide support for a variety of media players and custom applications.

CLI windows thin clients with Windows XPe are virtually virus proof because applications run on the server and CLI employs a locked down default security profile, preventing any writes or changes to the disk image. We are working with leading security providers such as Symantec to provide added AV and firewall security.

CLI Device Management gives you great flexibility and lower costs. Every CLI thin client comes bundled with CLI SNMPAdm, an intuitive, easy to use, powerful thin client management tool. You can configure, clone, shadow, update and inventory all your Windows thin clients, or any of your CLI thin clients all from the CLI management console.

CLI windows thin clients also support industry standard management options to deploy and maintain your devices, including support for Altiris device management on select XPe models.

Our XPe windows thin clients have no moving parts, no fans, disk drives or other typical points of failure. Because all user data is located on the server, data is secure and device replacement, if necessary, takes minutes.

All CLI thin clients consume much less energy than PCs. Some models consume as little as five watts! Most PCs use about 100 watts. Between the energy use and heat generated, the savings can often pay for the device in as short as a year or two. The energy return on investment is substantial, and the right thing to do for the environment.
