Microsoft Windows 95 Service Pack 1

Your version of Windows 95 should have a letter following the version number. If no letter follows this number, you should get and install Service Pack 1. To check your version, right click on "My Computer" and click Properties in the displayed list. The Windows 95 version number 4.00.950 should be followed by a letter.

Download file: SP1UPD.EXE (silent update)
Use the (A) DOWNLOAD FILE option from the main menu.
At the next menu, select (D) DOWNLOAD.
At the next prompt, enter the name of the file.
The BBS will search all areas.
Hit enter until you are prompted by the BBS to select your transfer protocol.
If your transfer software supports ZMODEM, we suggest this method.
Start you transfer process after selecting the protocol.
After you have downloaded the file:
Click on the START button
Select RUN option
d:\<path>\SP1UPD
You will be prompted to re-boot
After you re-boot, check the version of Win'95 by clicking on the "My Computer" icon with your right button and select PROPERTIES.
The version should read: 4.00.950a
