Using the keyboard (rather than the mouse) to do the Copy/Paste Edit function requires that you first use the Keyboard ReMapping function to avoid a 0003 keyboard error:

1. Click System
2. Select Keyboard ReMapping
3. Click the E key on the keyboard map
4. Click the Alt button above and then Right click on the adjacent data field to set it to blank (from Cmd E)
5. Save the modification

Now Alt+E, C will copy the highlighted area and Alt+E, P will paste that at the cursor position.
