Microsoft Windows Terminal
Services delivers the Windows operating system experience to diverse desktops
using CLI thin client devices, allowing a user to access Windows applications or
data stored on a central server. It
offers the same secure, scalable and centrally managed environment of the
traditional mainframe with terminals, but adds the familiarity, ease-of-use,
power, and access to thousands of off-the-shelf Windows applications. And the latest version of Terminal Services provides new
options for application deployment, more efficient access to data over low
bandwidth, reuse of older hardware, and remote management. Terminal Services uses the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to
deliver Windows applications to CLI thin clients.
CLI is a Microsoft Windows
Embedded Partner. Microsoft is the
worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and
businesses realize their full potential. CLI
offers thin clients that are based on Microsoft Windows CE and Windows XP
Embedded, and all CLI thin clients support RDP for complete compatibility with
Terminal Services.
