Citrix Dynamic Desktop Initiative (DDI) is an industry collaboration led by Citrix to make it easy for businesses to optimize the delivery of dynamic desktops. The dynamic desktop is a Windows-based desktop that’s delivered over any network and optimized for office workers’ tasks – from simple to complex. Dynamic desktops provide the best TCO, security, performance and flexibility, allowing businesses to thrive in a dynamic world.
Desktop Broker for Citrix Presentation Server provides support for the dynamic delivery of desktops to a broad range of office workers. This new feature provides logical groupings of desktops for easier management and delivery to users. Through transparent session brokering, Desktop Broker allows users to automatically connect to a Dynamic Desktop that’s best suited for them. The Desktop Broker feature is fully compatible with Citrix’s end to end application delivery infrastructure solutions. Desktop Broker uses a Citrix-developed protocol called Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) to deliver desktops to CLI thin clients.

infrastructure. All CLI thin client
terminals support Citrix’s ICA technology.
CLI is also a participant in Citrix Ready.
The Citrix Ready initiative makes it simple for customers and Citrix
channels to identify the best third party products and solutions that can be
used with confidence in Citrix environments.
CLI has met the verification criteria set by Citrix for a number of
products, including Citrix Presentation Server and Password Manager.
